Matter & Shape design salon opened today and it's an absolute haven for interiors lovers! Running as a parallel event to Paris Fashion Week, it reimagines everyday home objects as style statements for the space-conscious, each one a testament to modern craftsmanship.

Two Chinese brands stood out in particular (see photos 15–17): @间则 brings contemporary furniture to life through bamboo craftsmanship, elevating this traditional material to a place of refined minimalism — for many Chinese, the feel of bamboo furniture is a childhood memory written in the fingertips. @studiososlow blends traditional kite-making with innovative paper art: each original piece can be assembled in countless ways, effortlessly graceful with a distinctly Eastern sensibility.

Worth noting: Japanese brands made up the majority of the exhibition. After years of visiting design fairs in France, I've consistently seen Japanese home design thrive on the international stage. I genuinely cheer for Chinese brands, and I hope original Chinese design continues to grow stronger and claim its rightful place at major international showcases!
